The Netherlands from the Air

Long before drones gained popularity, Gerco de Ruijter was already using kites to launch his camera into the air. While he could operate the camera from the ground, he could not predict exactly what it would capture. With this series, De Ruijter visualized both natural and manmade patterns in the landscape that often go unnoticed from our vantage point on the ground.
