Abstract

"Ed van der Elsken (1925–1990) was one of the most influential Dutch photographers of the twentieth century. Known for his direct and personal style, he captured everyday life with honesty and energy. His photographs range from Amsterdam’s post-war youth culture to street scenes in Paris and beyond. This richly illustrated publication presents a selection of both iconic and lesser-known photographs.
